The newest release from Milan-based singer-songwriter Quarry is an impressively melodic, gentle cut called ‘Beyond Any Sense’. The chug of guitars combine with jangling percussion to provide the perfect accompaniment for a lyrically-driven, melody-centric track inspired by the solo work of John Lennon. On the track, Quarry says it “has an undercurrent of awkwardness to it, giving voice to the experience of feeling uncomfortable in this social framework. The track expresses my conflicted feelings about liquid modernity.” His eclectic new album, Positioning The Sun, drops on October 14th, 2022. -Dan Peeke.
